Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) has taken a shocking decision. It announced that from March 2018, no film will be allowed to release in the two Telugu states. This caused tension in the industry. Apparently, the tough call has been taken to protest against the exorbitant charges imposed by digital service providers.
Many big films including Mahesh Babu’s ‘Bharat Anu Nenu’, Ram Charan's ‘Rangasthalam 1985’, ‘2.0’ and ‘Naa Peru Surya’ are scheduled to release during summer. The stoppage of films release will severely impact the business. If theatres are shut down and the strike continues, the release dates of several films could be postponed. Let’s wait and see how the issue will be resolved.
