Ram Gopal Varma on Wednesday is believed to have met with YS Jaganmohan Reddy in Tadepalli. The buzz is that RGV has been asked by the AP CM to make another political film after 'Lakshmi’s NTR' and 'Amma Rajyamlo Kadapa Biddalu'.
The political film will obviously be skewed against Jagan's opponents. But the question is, who does Jagan want RGV to target this time around?
TDP has been out of power since 2019. If RGV makes an anti-TDP movie in 2023 or 2024 ahead of elections, it might not be as effective this time around. Anti-ruling party movies have zing, but anti-Opposition movies don't carry much weight.
There is a rumour that Jagan wants RGV to make a film against Pawan Kalyan. Netizens who are neutral feel that an anti-Jana Sena movie will be even more ineffective propaganda, for the party has never been in power.
Could it be that RGV has been asked to make a pro-YCP movie that highlights the government's work? Varma's forte lies in sensationalism. He likes to amplify conspiracy theories. His strength lies in spreading negativity against some people without worrying about consequences or caring for the truth. Can he step out of his comfort zone?
