Sai Pallavi is going to do an adaptation of the Ramayana in Hindi. The film co-stars Ranbir Kapoor as Rama and Yash as Ravana. The versatile actress, reports say, has been paid Rs 10 Cr as remuneration.
This is too high by southern Indian standards but Bollywood superstar actresses like Deepika Padukone regularly get paid a bit more than that. The 'Virata Parvam' and 'Fidaa' actress gets paid not more than Rs 4 Cr down South.
She will be seen as Indhu Rebecca Varghese in the upcoming action war film 'Amaran'. Rajkumar Periasamy is directing it. 'Amaran' stars Sivakarthikeyan as Major Mukund Varadarajan. The 'Gargi' actress is also doing Naga Chaitanya's 'Thandel', which is a pan-Indian film. It will hit the cinemas for Dasara this year. Both 'Amaran' and 'Thandel' are crucial films for her.
