'Gangs of Godavari': 'BAD' is about justifying hero's grey character

'Gangs of Godavari' will hit the cinemas on May 31. The action drama features Vishwak Sen as a gangster named Lankala Ratna.

On Friday, Sithara Entertainments unveiled the film's theme song. Composed and rendered by Yuvan Shankar Raja, it highlights the male protagonist's ethical compass (or, rather the lack of it). He is grey because in a world where social norms are defied (by everyone?), nobody is black and white. The 'right' way is to be immoral and opt for illegal ways! The lyrics have been partly written by Trivikram. At one level, the song brings to life the soundscape of Pawan Kalyan's 'Panja'.

Neha Shetty, Anjali, Goparaju Ramana, Sai Kumar and Nasser will be seen in prominent roles in this rural action drama with a political backdrop. The period film, set in Rajamundry, will be one of the most noteworthy releases this Summer.
