'Republic', which has been streaming on ZEE5 since November 26, has set a Mega record. The Deva Katta directorial has crossed 12 crore viewing minutes in a week. The humongous success has prompted the makers to say that 'Republic' is not just a movie but a movement.
Speaking about the response from ZEE5 patrons, the makers today said that the Director's Commentary has been beloved. "This is a massive record. In the past, Sai Tej's 'Solo Bratuke So Better' was also released on ZEE5," the streaming platform added.
They further said, "ZEE5 has pulled off a praiseworthy 360-degree marketing approach to make 'Republic' a special release."
Starring Aishwarya Rajesh, Jagapathi Babu and Ramya Krishna as well, the film has Sai Tej as an IAS officer. The fourth act in the movie has been compared to the Nolan-style of making.
