In his latest interview, producer Aswini Dutt attributed the phenomenal success of 'Kalki 2898 AD' (in Hindi, supposedly) to Amitabh Bachchan. When the interviewer asked him who is that one individual who can be credited with the success, Dutt said, "It is there for all to see. It is Amitabh Bachchan."
Prabhas' fans say that it is the superstardom of the 'Baahubali' and 'Salaar' actor that is responsible for the popularity of the Hindi version of the dystopian epic sci-fi action entertainer directed by Nag Ashwin.
To give the producer the benefit of the doubt, he probably meant to say that Big B deserves more respect because of his character's screentime. Prabhas' Bhairava is a mere supporting role even in the second half, many feel.
'Kalki 2898 AD' also features Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan.
